NC State will be providing accommodations for the students and visiting faculty members at Valley Hall – Wolf Ridge Apartments located on Centennial Campus during the conference Friday April 10 through Sunday April 12th.
Wolf Ridge is part of NC State’s student housing and is one of the newest housing facilities on campus. Each apartment provides four single rooms with shared living and kitchen area and two bathrooms. The kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave and stove. Each bedroom has a double size bed, desk and wardrobe. Just like a traditional hotel, linens, shampoo, conditioner, soap and Internet will be provided. Unlike a traditional hotel, televisions are not provided in the student rooms; though there are large common rooms on each floor with TV available.
Per University housing policy, students will be separated by gender as indicated on the registration form. Male and female students can not share an apartment.
Faculty/Staff Please Note: Unless you choose to share an apartment with another colleague, faculty/staff will be provided the same style apartment but it will be a private unit. Only students will be required to share the apartments.
Transportation and Parking:
Shuttles will be provided by the Office of Undergraduate Research to and from the airport (RDU) and Wolf Ridge Apartments Friday April 10th and Sunday April 12th. Once on Centennial Campus, if needed, transportation will be provided for conference events.
The Raleigh Durham International Airport (RDU) is the closest major airport located to NC State University. There are two terminals at RDU, Terminal 1 provides service to all Southwest flights and Terminal 2 provides services for all other airline providers. NC State will have Student Ambassadors on site at RDU Friday April 10th to assist you in locating the shuttles and answer questions. If you need to get around campus or need to go off campus for anything other than conference events you can you the Wolf Line bus service (free of charge), Triangle Transit bus services, as well as taxi and car rental options available in Raleigh.
